The ABC of having what you want

blocks

If you already have all the money, peace, love, happiness and health in your life that you’d like to have then you’re probably already familiar with what follows. If however there are some areas of your life that are not quite the way you’d like them to be, here’s the ABC to understanding why you may be missing out.

C: clarity

We use a GPS (or satnav) to guide us when we’re not sure how to get somewhere – either because the destination is new to us or because we’re lost.

All you need to know to use a satnav is where you want to go, ie, the destination. You do NOT need to know where you are, why you are there, how you got there or why you got lost!

If you don’t know where you want to go, a satnav is pretty useless.

Yet how often do you just hope for the best that one day your problems will miraculously disappear (including those credit card bills or the job you’re stuck in), and the new car, house or partner will appear as if my magic?

If you are in that place of hoping, or just going through the motions of life, day by day, you may want to consider that no-one is coming to rescue you, nor can anyone rescue you; unless you become clear on what you want your life to be like, you’re very unlikely to get it so.

Some of the things that get in the way of people being clear on what they want, is that they don’t know how to get there, or that they don’t have the time, the money or the skill to get there.

The great news is that, as far as creating the life you want, knowing how is irrelevant and here’s why: the universe is simply too magic for you work out all the details and in fact, trying to work out the hows often gets in the way of you having what you want! I know this probably contradicts what you have been taught, but it is so: worrying about the details is a major cause of stress, which leads to feeling unwell, getting sick and being unhappy or depressed which if anything, takes you further away from your dreams.

Creating the life you want involves faith; faith in your own creative abilities and faith in the grace of a universe, God, Gaia, or whatever you prefer to call that something that is bigger than you (if you believe in something bigger than you) who only wants for you what you want for you.

Once you know with absolute clarity what you want (and the only limitation is your imagination!), here is how to communicate this to the universe in a way that engages life’s magic: imagine your dream life, exactly as you would like it to be, in the finest details; what would it look like, smell like, taste like and most importantly, how would you would feel if your life was like that? Imagine it, feel it, pretend it, become it; even a few minutes per day is enough!

The more you do that, the more so-called coincidences, serendipities and synchronicities happen!

The more familiar you become with the place of your dreams, the more you live there in your imagination, the more your vibration will change and the easier you’ll attract and create exactly that, or something even better.

B: belief

Unless you believe that you deserve happiness you’ll never be happy in the long run.

Unless you believe that you are worthy of a loving relationship you’ll never have one that lasts.

As long as you believe that it’s selfish or not spiritual to be financially free or that there isn’t enough for everyone, you’ll never have long-lasting financial freedom.

Your beliefs are the main source of your thoughts and emotions. Your thoughts combined with your emotion and imagination, are the major components of your creative powers – that’s why limiting beliefs (like “It’ll never happen to me”) get in the way of you having what you want.

Beliefs are mostly unconscious so you may not even be aware of them; they’re also not right, wrong or real – they’re just beliefs and you can change them any time!

Commonly held beliefs like “I’m not good enough” or “I don’t have what it takes” are a script for emotional and financial bankruptcy. Creating the life you want requires absolute belief that you can create whatever you desire and like any other belief – you can install this.

Your outer world is a reflection of your inside; if you don’t like what you see in the outside world, explore your beliefs, change the ones that need changing and see how everything else changes!

A: action

Contrary to the popular belief that taking action is the way to create what you want, taking action is simply the vehicle with which to receive that which you’ve have already created! Action is the last essential step of creation, not the first.

  • Vision without action is a daydream. Action without a vision is a nightmare.

Once you:

  • are clear on exactly what you want
  • clear up any beliefs that say you can’t or shouldn’t have it
  • install beliefs that are aligned with where you want to be going
  • then the next step is to start taking action – any action.
  • “Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction.” Harry Truman

Where are you looking and what are you focusing on?

Many people spend vast amounts of time, money and energy on resolving the past:

  • using therapy to overcome past trauma, heartache and pain
  • analysing (to death!) why this business failed or that relationship didn’t last
  • replaying painful conversations in their heads over and over and over again that always end the same way.

It’s important to clear out those things in your past that still holds you back so that you can move forward; this needs to be balanced with looking into and actively creating the future.

One of the reasons so many don’t have what they want is because so few explore pertinent questions like:

  • How is your life as a man, woman, father or partner working?
  • Are you keeping your promises and if not, what’s really going on?
  • How is your health and what can you do to improve it?
  • How happy are you and what are you doing to get happier?
  • How are you spending your time and how can you create more balance?

These questions invoke the awareness and curiosity which allow you to engage in life as a creator rather than victim.

Ask yourself:

  • What’’s your ultimate vision for your life, what would you like to be, do and have?
  • How often do you argue for your limitations and why that can never happen for you?
  • When was the last time you took some action towards your dreams?

In conclusion

Whatever you experience now is not based on some random outside power, fate, destiny or luck; it is your creation through your beliefs, thoughts, imagination, feelings and the magic of the universe.

Further food for thought

  • What if everything really was connected?
  • What if your thoughts really turned into things?
  • What if you were a creator of life rather than a bystander or a victim?
  • What if you were powerful beyond your wildest dreams?
  • What if…
