April 22 2010: The AAMET’s new website is now open for business!

With its legal, professional status, the association is now set to support the international expansion of the MET community.

The new website, which has been painstakingly designed by practitioners and trainers for practitioners and trainers, underpins the association’s commitment to raise, standardise and maintain standards.

“This site is our platform, our resource library and our worldwide forum,” explains chairman Helena Fone. “AAMET wants to ensure that healing and developmental energy modalities become more widely and freely available and that our public face is helpful, clear and dynamic.”

The new website will showcase pioneering new applications and promote and publicise research as well as tracking developments and news. Helena adds: “Our new web will help people right across the EFT and MET community to share best practice and to access consistent training guidelines and support.

“It’s an exciting new era with a new way of working. Our newly-acquired legal status will make us eligible for some grants and help us form strong allegiances with the official bodies and authorities in members’ respective countries.

“We will also find it easier to network and co-opt with other professional bodies, opening more doors into mainstream healthcare and rehabilitation.”

The new website is www.aamet.org. Registration is essential for existing association members as this is an entirely new site with new databases in accordance with data protection laws.

Full instructions are given and there is a comprehensive questions and answers page which is regularly updated. Members need to sign up to their highest level of practice (ie, trainer) to ensure they can access downloads of training material. And different resources can be accessed depending on the membership level purchased.

The AAMET is a continual work in progress and user feedback is valuable. In time there will be a formal mechanism for this, but if visitors have any comments, or questions which are not answered on the site, email aamet email.
